According to details, people in Malir's Khokhrapar locality were suffering from the disease, the doctors have not been able to identify.
Senior Health Director, Dr. Abdul Wahid Panwar said the patients are complaining of high grade fever, severe pain in joints and bones and loss of platelets.
The hospital administration said that people of all ages are getting affected of this, however, no casualty has been reported.
The symptoms are very much like dengue, said Dr Wahid, adding that the initial investigations concluded that mosquito is likely the cause of the spread.
